The Young Talent Architecture Award 2020 breaks ground

Registration open for architecture schools until 24-2-2020

We are pleased to announce the start of the already third edition of the Young Talent for Architecture Award.(YTAA). As part of the EU Mies Award aims to support the talent and entrance into the professional world of recently graduated Architects, Urban Planners and Landscape Architects.

The YTAA 2020 is open for graduation projects presented between January 1, 2018 and December 31, 2019 in schools throughout Europe and in those of the guest countries that this year are Brazil, Chile and Mexico. They will be evaluated by an international jury composed of Martine de Maeseneer (Leuven), Oleg Drozdov (Kharkiv), Juliet Leach (London), Rosario Talevi (Berlin) and Bet Capdeferro (Girona).

The YTAA has demonstrated to be a successful project, not only in terms of participation but also in its ability to generate networks and synergies. The winners receive support at the beginning of their professional practice and for the deepening of their training in universities and consolidated architecture offices linked to the EU Mies Award and the Future Architecture Platform. They also receive € 5,000 each, a profile on the World Architects website and USM furniture.

All submitted projects are published online and in a catalog, included in the archive of the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture - Mies van der Rohe Award and presented in the traveling exhibition.

YTAA is organised by the Fundació Mies van der Rohe with the support of the Creative Europe programme of the European Union, in collaboration with the European Association for Architectural Education (EAAE) and the Architects' Council of Europe (ACE-CAE); World Architects as founding partner; the European Cultural Centre as a partner in Venice; the sponsorship of Jung, Jansen and Regent; and the support of USM.
