Nemrég mutatták be Barcelonában a Model első kiadását: a Barcelonai Építészeti Fesztivál. Egy új eszköz, amely segít közösen átgondolni, hogyan szeretnénk megélni az új városmodelleket és új víziókat.

A Barcelona Építészeti Hét, amelyet az elmúlt öt évben Barcelonában rendeztek meg, és ahol a Fundació Mies van der Rohe aktívan hozzájárult az építészet népszerűsítéshez, most egy városi fesztivállá fejlődik, amelyet átméreteztek azzal a szándékkal, hogy egy lépéssel tovább tudjon fejlődni, az UIA-Unesco Építészeti Világfővárosának első nagy eseménye, Barcelona 2026.

From 5th to 15th May. Open call for proposals until 25th March

It has just been presented in Barcelona the first edition of Model. Barcelona Architecture Festival. A new tool that helps us collectively to rethink how we want to live through new city models and new visions.

The Barcelona Architecture Week that has been held for the last five years in Barcelona and where the Fundació Mies van der Rohe has actively contributed to its promotion, is now evolving into a city festival that is being resized with the desire to do a step further as the first major event of the UIA-Unesco World Capital of Architecture in Barcelona 2026.

It aims to be a city event, an inclusive occasion which brings people together and promotes enriching joint reflection on urban environments and the architects of today and tomorrow.  Because of this, the festival is aimed at associations as well as natural and legal persons of any national or international background, who, regardless of whether their discipline has any connection with architecture, are keen to hold an event linked to the festival are invited to participate.

Suggested activities may take a face-to-face or hybrid format, through radio, television, social media, internet, mobiles and augmented reality and they must seek to jointly re-imagine what makes up a city: from the small-scale process of re-engaging with domestic life through to major ideas for public space and the challenges that the future holds.
